Yes! You can open and reseal with any lids you have at home. The Mason Genie™ doesn’t damage the lids.

We are including 10 extra lids with the kit so you have extra lids in case you threw yours out!

How long does it take to seal?

It usually takes about 25 to 50 seconds to create an airtight seal between the lid and the mason jar.

You don’t need to keep your hand on the Mason Genie™ when it’s creating the seal so you can do other things as it’s sealing.

Can I use it for canning?

Canners commonly utilize the Mason Genie™ to seal all their dry or dehydrated goods stored in the pantry.

However, it's important to note that while Mason Genie™ creates airtight seals suitable for preserving foods in mason jars, it is not a replacement for canning or the long-term preservation of perishable goods. Proper canning requires specific heat processing methods to ensure food safety and preservation.

What types of foods can I preserve with the Mason Genie?
